The Machine Learning â Science Colaboratory (ML Colab) is a core facility of the Cluster of Excellence âMachine Learning â New Perspectives for Scienceâ. We are inviting applications for a
Foreign language secretary (m/f/d, E9a TV-L 50%)
starting as soon as possible, on fixed-term employment until, initially until 31.12.2025. The position can be combined with another currently posted 50% position to become a full-time employee.
Relevant training in the field of foreign language secretariat or a comparable qualification is required. English is mandatory as a first foreign language, and French or Spanish as a second.
Your main responsibilities are
- interfacing with the University for e.g. hiring, ordering materials, and planing our scientific travel
- organizing trainings, hackathons, etc. including correspondence and technical set-up
- managing and growing our knowledge base and internal communication platforms
We also appreciate experience and help with
- tracking milestones and reporting our project progress
- communication and outreach via newsletters, our webpage, twitter, discussion forums...
We are looking for a proactive personality who loves to take things in their own hands and drive progress while checking in with stakeholders as needed. Experience in administrative and managerial tasks in university/research settings is an asset. All our internal workflows are digital, so we expect you to master online office apps and to know, or be enthusiastic to learn, no-code collaboration tools and relational databases.
