On July 4th, 2022 we gave an introductory workshop on machine learning to the RHET AI CENTER, the Center for Rhetorical Science Communication Research on AI of the University of Tübingen.
We covered several foundational ML notions, neural networks included, and reflected on the ML workflow in practice, from data collection to performance evaluation. We also discussed about the limitations of ML for science.
Furthermore, the colleagues from the RHET AI CENTER gave us a training on communication and presentation skills. Thanks to them, we collected valuable feedback we want to implement in our future trainings.
